The WH-1000XM2s have a bass that is quite powerful and very resonant. Mids are clear and detailed while the highs are bright and clear. They're also very versatile, able to adapt to various styles of music with the flat EQ.
There are shortcomings, however. The touch panel in the right ear cup can be frustrating because it is slow to respond to commands. They only function when connected to an electronic device, and won't function when listening through an additional cable.
